Welcome to Speedometer by Into Hash ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Speedometer application and related services.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Precise Location Data

Our Speedometer application's core functionality relies on precise location data. We collect:

• GPS Coordinates: To calculate your current speed, heading, and altitude.
• Route Information: When you choose to record a trip, we collect a continuous stream of location data to map your route.
• Background Location: If you start recording a route and switch to another app or turn off your screen, we continue to collect location data in the background to ensure your trip is recorded accurately.

2.2 Account Information

If you choose to create an account to use our cloud features, we collect:

• Name
• Email Address
• Profile Picture

This information is primarily obtained through Third-Party Social Logins (see Section 3).

2.3 Usage Data & Device Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use our Speedometer application, including:

• Device model, operating system, and version
• App performance metrics (crashes, latency)
• Usage patterns (features used, time spent)
• Advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID on Android, Apple's IDFA on iOS) — collected by our ad provider only when you choose to watch an optional ad (see Section 7)

3. Authentication and Social Logins

We offer the ability to register and log in using your existing social media or network accounts, specifically:

• Google Sign-In
• Sign in with Apple

If you choose to use these services, we will access basic information from your profile, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, in accordance with your settings on those platforms. We use this information to:

• Create and authenticate your account.
• Personalize your user experience.
• Facilitate the synchronization of your data.

4. Data Synchronization and Cloud Storage

One of the premium features available to logged-in users is Route Synchronization.

When you are logged in, the routes you record (including speed, distance, duration, and path coordinates) are automatically uploaded and synced to our secure database. This allows you to:

• Access your trip history from multiple devices.
• Backup your data to prevent loss if you change or lose your device.

This data is linked to your account. If you log out, you will not see your synced history until you log back in.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

• Providing Service: Calculating real-time speed and mapping your route.
• User Account Management: Managing your registration and authentication.
• Data Persistence: Saving your recorded routes to the cloud (for logged-in users).
• Improvement: Analyzing usage to fix bugs and improve app performance.
• Advertising: Showing optional rewarded ads that let you temporarily unlock premium features without subscribing (see Section 7).
• Communication: Sending you important administrative or security notices.

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal location data or account information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With third-party vendors who process data on our behalf: Supabase (account and route database hosting), Google Firebase Analytics and Amplitude (product analytics), Sentry (crash and error reporting), Microsoft Clarity (session analytics), and RevenueCat (subscription management). Authentication is provided by Google and Apple.
• Advertising Partners: With Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK) to serve, measure, and — where permitted — personalize the optional rewarded ads described in Section 7.
• Legal Compliance: If required by law or to protect our rights.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, sale, or asset transfer.

7. Advertising and Third-Party Ad Networks

Speedometer offers an optional way to unlock certain premium features without subscribing: you may choose to watch a short rewarded video ad to unlock a specific feature for a limited time. Ads are shown only when you choose to watch one — the app does not display banner or interstitial ads, and you are never required to view an ad to use the core speedometer.

7.1 Ad Provider

These ads are delivered through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). When an ad is requested and shown, Google and its advertising partners may collect and process:

• Advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID on Android, Apple's Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA on iOS)
• IP address and coarse, non-precise location derived from it
• Device and operating-system information
• Ad-interaction data (which ads were served, viewed, or clicked, and whether a reward was earned)

Google uses this information to serve, cap, and measure ads, to detect fraud and abuse, and — where permitted — to personalize ads. The app itself does not read or store your advertising identifier; it is processed by Google as an independent controller. 7.2 Consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you are located in a region that requires it (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland), we present a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), a Google-certified Consent Management Platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Your choices in that form determine whether you are shown personalized or non-personalized ads, and we do not request ads until consent has been resolved.

We ask for this consent only at the moment you choose to watch a rewarded ad — never on app launch. If you never tap "watch an ad", you are never shown a consent form and no ad is ever requested.

7.3 App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, the same flow presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, which asks whether we may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show you more relevant ads and measure their performance.

You may decline. If you do, Google does not receive your IDFA and you are shown non-personalized ads instead — every feature of the app remains fully available either way. You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

7.4 Withdrawing or Changing Your Consent

If you have given consent for ads, you can change or withdraw it at any time from inside the app:

This reopens the consent form so you can review your choices, change individual purposes, or withdraw consent entirely. Withdrawing consent does not restrict your access to any part of the app. This option appears only for users in regions where consent applies, because there is nothing to withdraw elsewhere.

7.5 Your Device-Level Choices

You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads (reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization).
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising. On iOS, personalized ads also depend on your App Tracking Transparency choice.

The rewarded-ads feature can be turned off remotely. When it is disabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK is not initialized, no consent form is shown, and no ad-related data is collected.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information and synced routes as long as your account is active.

Deleting Your Data

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. To do so, please contact us at contact@intohash.online with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

Upon deletion, your account information and all synced route data will be permanently removed from our active databases.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Speedometer application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will take steps to delete the information immediately.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this policy periodically.
